Chicago Additive – Return & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing Chicago Additive. We are committed to your satisfaction and want to ensure your experience with our products is a positive one. Please review the following terms regarding returns, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations.

1. Return Eligibility

• Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.
• Items must be unused, in like-new condition, and returned in original packaging.
• Consumables (e.g., filament, nozzles, build surfaces) are non-returnable once opened, used, or installed.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To request a return, please email cateam@chicagoadd.com with your order number and reason for return. A team member may request photos of the item’s condition for approval.

• All returns must be approved before being shipped.
• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and must use a trackable shipping method.
• Items returned without prior approval or proper tracking may be refused.

3. Refunds

• Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the status of your refund.
• Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
• Shipping costs and payment processing fees are non-refundable.
• A 30% restocking fee applies to returns not due to damage or defect.
• Items returned damaged, incomplete, or not in like-new condition may result in partial refund or denial.
• Please allow 7–15 business days for processing.

4. Exchanges for Defective Products

If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact cateam@chicagoadd.com immediately.

• We may request photos and guide you through troubleshooting steps.
• If the issue cannot be resolved with replacement parts, we will send a replacement unit and cover return shipping for the defective item.
• If you choose not to troubleshoot, the return is subject to a 30% restocking fee.

5. Warranty Consideration

Products confirmed to be defective may be eligible for repair or replacement under our limited warranty. Please contact support for eligibility details.

6. Order Cancellations

• Orders for 3D printers may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement.
• Email cateam@chicagoadd.com with your order number to request a cancellation.
• After 24 hours, cancellations may not be accepted due to custom assembly or processing.

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange once opened or used:

• Build surfaces
• Nozzles
• Filament
• Bowden tubes
• Other opened or used consumables
